The Aquael Ultramax 1500 External Filter is a technologically advanced canister filter.  User-friendly with very quiet operation, and low running cost (the filter has a power of only 16 W).  Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums. The main advantages are:

• A high water flow rate (up to 1500 l/h) and efficient operation in tanks up to 450l.
• Holds large quantities of filter media. Filter media are placed in 4 handy ergonomic baskets with a capacity of 1.9 l each. This provides extremely efficient mechanical and biological filtration.

The Aquael Ultramax 1500 external filter has a big sponge pre-filter built into the lid, which is designed to capture course mechanical impurities before they can get inside the filter. The pre-filter prevents clogging, which reduces the need for frequent cleaning. The pre-filter sponge is easy to remove and can be rinsed in tap water.
